A question was submitted:
I was told that the bargaining committee for selective salary increases were looking at the Cardiac Cath Lab as a possibility for a bump up. I was wondering what the end result was.

Dear Member:
The wage based review committee is continuing to meet and review several classifications for wage adjustments. We're currently still in the information gathering portion of this process. Once we ID positions that are above or below market we then go out to the depts. to see why that is and if your jobs are similar enough to the market data, if not then we start over. So this is the stage we're in. Once determined that we have a good match we'll discuss what can be or should be done with the wages. If it's over market we see why that is. Are there recruitment issues? Was this an agreement to deliberately set wages above? If folks are below then we look at what the fix should be. Increase base wages, change the progression in step increases. We're not at that stage yet. If you're to be effected we'll definitely let you know. The last classification we worked on was the Pharmacists. We will always ask for your input if you're to be effected.
